The Ringling Medium Green Vase is hand-turned from mango wood in soft green and natural stripes that have tighter striations flowing around the surface. This treatment is created when the wood, which has been dried in the sun for a long period to bring out its variation in tones, is fully painted then returned to the wheel and incised with a knife. This attention to detail is a mark of true handicraft quality. There are a number of vases in this family for mixing and matching.
